Annual General Meeting

2010's AGM will take place on 9th March at 5pm in AIB Bankcentre, Ballsbridge followed by a short reception hosted by the Bank.

2009's AGM:

The main highlight of the meeting was that of the Chairperson's (Mr Richard Ryan) Report. He noted the following:

• 17 events were held in 2008 (7 Cultural, 5 Business, and 5 Social/General)
• Corporate membership increased from 30 to 38 within 2008
• Launch of new IJA website on time for the Annual Dinner held on February 13th 2009
• Special thanks to Ms Kaori Endo (JAL) who had served as Vice Chariperson for 7 years. Both Kaori and Dick have stepped down as chairperson and vice chairperson since the meeting.
• Election of new Chairperson, Darina Slattery (Japan Ireland Travel)
• Election of new Vice-Chairperson, Neil Maher (Individual Member)
• Richard thanked the Ambassador Toshinao Urabe, the Embassy staff, and especially Mr Shinji Yamada for their continued support and hard work over the years working together

Other highlights included:

• Subscription Fees will remain the same for 2009

JET Alumni & Teachers 30 Euro (For their first year of membership)
